A friendly status update

Hi guys it has been a minute since I've participated in anything clan related, I've pretty much fallen off the radar at this point. I feel like this warrants some explanation as to if I'm going to be active in venge or not. I do want to get back into the swing of things here, but not before I do specific things first.

I don't want to have to play in the wild with cheaper items or items other than what I want to use just because I can't afford to lose them. With that in mind, I want a certain amount of money to do ToB because that is the only profitable content I enjoy. When I quit a couple months back I made the mistake of not leaving myself with enough money to get back into the game; I assumed I'd be fine doing zulrah or vorkath until I had enough money to do my favorite moneymaker, ToB, but that's 30 or so hours of grinding I was very unwilling to do. At this point I've made things work, however, I still need to grind out ToB for some more money because return sets aren't cheap. I don't want to have to play with cheaper items, like a rune kiteshield instead of a spirit shield, just because I can't afford to do so. 

The other thing I want before I start actively participating in clan events is a certain amount of PvP mechanical skills that I just don't have yet. The only way to truly get better at PvP is to PvP, and, you don't need to have near perfect clicks, 1ticking everything, and just generally do very difficult tech in order to be successful. On the other hand, these fundamental skills are extremely powerful and having better mechanics is a very strong advantage; you don't get better mechanics by PvPing, you get better mechanics by sitting in your PoH and practicing mechanics. That's not completely true, but some things are too difficult to attempt in realtime if you haven't already learned how to do them. I decided a long time ago that I want an extremely level of fundamentals that most people don't seem to have because it's such a powerful edge on any opponent with weaker mechanics. I hit a point where I don't want to play PvP, which includes participation in this clan, without finishing what I started. 

I know it might seem unreasonable, but it's just not fun for me if my gear and skills are half baked. My fun in this game comes from winning, and losing, but always trying my best to dominate. That's why I got an inferno cape on my zerker; I don't give 2 shits about some dumb cape the way other people would give 2b and their leg for one. I got a cape to prove to other players that I could get one if I felt like it, so I could be among the few that have done the hardest PvM challenge. That's why I play runescape, that's how I play runescape, and if you took out the competitive nature of runescape I'd just quit and find something else. ToB is genuinely fun because there is always a real struggle to take MvP off of my teammates or to complete a extremely challenging run where I have to pick a huge amount of slack from my inexperienced teammates. PvP won't be fun for me until I do it on my terms. Well, I just laid them out, and you can bet that when the time comes I'll become active again.

I don't really understand what has been going on with communication but I hope that until I am ready to get in the swing of things you guys will still invite me to community nights and cwa event. It seems like cwa has died off in recent times, but I don't know for certain because I don't get very much information about events anymore. I either log on to do ToB or to practice tech, if you ask me to while I'm practicing I will go to cwa white portal and do some friendly nh fights with whoever, med zerk or otherwise. If I'm doing ToB I'll just say I'm busy and be unable to talk much, but it's always nice to see people say hi and whatnot. I'm less willing to do ToB because the people I currently go with usually put me at my limit for how much I'm willing to play, which is just a couple hours at most. Life is busy, things have been slowly ramping up for me and if I play runescape any more than I need to to unwind it directly takes away from how much time I have to animate, so naturally I work way more than I should and unwind only when I'm so overworked that I'm being unproductive. Animation takes extremely long for the amount of art you get out of it, and it's extremely challenging; almost like perpetually taking a difficult exam that only ends when it's time to work on an even harder test. I really hope you guys will have me when I'm ready to get into the wilderness because it would help me a lot unwind from my crazy life. Until then, I hope things go well for you guys. My current situation can always change, maybe I'll find a girlfriend or something and just run out of time to scape, but you know if things go the way they are going I think there are good times to be had.

Thanks for the in-depth feedback about your situation man. Honestly, take your time brother, there's no one pushing you and we ain't going nowhere. The clan has being doing great, tbh we just won 4-0 against our so called 'rival' clan Resurgence in CWA  

I know work can take a lot of your time, mind and body. Make sure you love what you do, that's the only thing that truly matters. Life's too short

Fuck things just aren't working out in scapeland, I know I literally just made this post but I can feel the runescape time commitment weigh way too hard. I wanted some money to play around with but I'm unwilling to spend the time to make it, so I just gg staked my bank to see if I could make something happen but it didn't work out. It doesn't really matter either way, having gp isn't going to add hours to the clock. idk if and when I'll play again, but I think if I go for another round I'll just forget about PvM and do some clan stuff with ya'll. This round turned into a hopeless grind, trying to do PvM on a PvP account was not very smart. I'm pretty god damn impulsive with my decision making so who knows.
