Meta Gear & Official Outfits

Introduction:

We want to bump up our quality, hence why we are hosting voulenteer 2v2s fights. These fights will make you more comfortable with switching prayers & tanking in general. You will learn how to be independant and become the best that you possibly can.

With that being said - we as a leadership team, would like to introduce you to the meta gear. We have been stressing that Barrow's helm & Crystal shield holds the #1 spot for the helm & shield slot & most of you know this by now.

Med account setup:

Med Meta Sets

This setup should be your starting setup for every official trip / scheduled fight in the wilderness. You don't bring a mage cape/mystic boots because you don't want your opponent to know that you are maging. Hence why you should be flicking your robes whenever you cast a spell. Mage is only for utility, meaning you should only mage when someone is unfrozen.

Do not sit in robes, you will be a guarenteed bang if the enemy piles you!

This setup should be your returning setup if you died during a fight. After a couple returns in meta it becomes unreasonable to ask everyone to return in 1.2m returns based off current prices. Our ideal return sets are the above. however based of situation d'hide may be better if they are mage heavy. 
 

Tank account setup:

Tank Meta Sets

This setup should be your starting setup for every official trip / scheduled fight in the wilderness. The Dragon Spear is not mandatory for tanks, but it most certainly helps a lot. There is of course some preference. I like the 4 way switch with book, however if you are more comfortable with 3 way that is fine. 

For tanks mage can be more of a primary weapon so the mage cape and staying on the outskirts and camping mage is a good strategy. However another dcbow/ballista +1 and mage for utility is also acceptable

Tank Return Sets

This setup should be your returning setup if you died during a fight. You are more than welcome to switch keep Torags legs, but it is not expected by you. You should be returning in granite legs or dhide chaps depending on how mage heavy the opponant is.

Alternatively:

Just like the meta setup i use mage as a primary weapon but you are more then welcome to bring dbcow/ballista and add a range pot.

Zerk account setup:

Meta/Return Sets



This is the setup you start with & the setup you end with. If we are in a multi hour return fight you can eventually ditch either the ring OR gloves but not both. (90+ uses scim | 90- uses spear)

Zerk's biggest and only advantage is their melee dps. Since Zerk sets are insanely cheap we have decided to include mandatory warrior rings and b gloves to further heighten this benefit.

Be very aggressive with melee & the scim/dragon spear. Your account is made for this.

We are aware that some of the Zerk builds in Vengeance are 60-attack. This type of account build is not strong - atleast not for clanning. We highly recommend you to get 75-attack. We do respect your choice if you decide not to, but just know that against mains you won't be to much use due to your very restricted account.



Inventory setup:

You should NEVER bring more than 1-2 karambwan if you are a Tank or a Med level. It is a waste of inventory space when you could bring an extra brew or manta ray. Get in to the habit of sipping your brews instead of eating your manta rays. It doesn't matter if you are brewed down, you will still hit. Just make sure you sip a restore when you brew down.

The brew ratio is 3:1 meaning, every time you brew 3 times you will restore your stats by restoring once.

 

When you are the pile, make sure you wear a phoenix necklace. Most of you are already aware of this, but we do see some people dieing while they wear a glory. Don't be that guy.

"Budget fight gear" setup:
Times it may be necessary to downgear and when this is called it is not meant to mean we are 1 item/ragging. It simply means to replace the mystic with xercians and the granite/torags with double hides and addy/rune kite.
 

Never flame the granite helm
