Protect yourself first. imo.

 

Focus on getting protection prayers right and gear. You always want your opponent frozen. So make sure that's a priority.

After that focus on gear for defence/offence. robes for mage, tank for range/melee.  etc. then work on offensive prayers.

Keep your hp high and your prayer switches on point. The offence will come after you have got the defence down my man!

switch up your sparring partner too, you'll get used to their attack style without realising it. Private servers are good to practise in, not as good as the tourney worlds were, but give you free gear!

Just practise practise and practise, things will come naturally for you in your own way. We all have our own ways of bridding when it comes to the real thing. Keep up the good work buddy
