I bought it at the 230m mark used for literally like two days and resold for 17m less.

 

It's good since I managed to get more kills... But I utterly hated the fact that I was instantly targeted when pkers came.

 

Right now I think another good method would be MSB + Amethyst arrows, Skulled. +1 is your salve amulet. Since being skulled increases the rare drops it's worth it I think. making them x3-x4 more common

Same thing happened to my mate but he bought it at like 100 and camped revs for a bit but made 0 profit

Ideal would have been to wait 3 months for it to stabilize before buying but another craws drop probably would have made you absolute bank early on. Pity the meta is skulled revs now.
