running a 1080ti unfortunately.

I had a GTX 1060. Couldn't cope.

 

Long story short... caused overheating and slow constantly.

 

Ended up getting a upgrade

 

Games like Warthunder it becomes very slow.

max settinfs as in 1080 60+ fps ye for most games. 1060 is good but look at the 1660 as well heard its a great value deal (cant compare em rn using my phone)

I've got a 970 and havn't really had any problems apart from Star War Fallen Order - will need to upgrade soon.

what type of games are you thinking of ? 

it will run Resident evil , starcraft 2 , tombrider and some older games on a decent high graphic settings , i dont know about the absolute newest games tho , you might struggle with games like doom and such , whats the memories ( GB ) on the card ? i got a 1050 with 6gb and i run almost all of the games on high or ultra with an okey fps

Just save up for a rtx2060, they should start dropping soon with new wave of gpus inbound. The gtx 1060 in newer games isn’t going to be good unless you play at bare minimum settings.
