Lizardman Shamen Guide.

 

This is my basic Guide to Lizardman Shamen, on 2 Accounts I have gotten Over 20k Kills, 2 DWHs, and 13 Curved bones (Curved Bones Have Same Drop Rate as DWH, Rip my RNG).

 

This Guide is Just a set up and where to stand to be safe during your Shamen runs, I will post a guide later next week on how to actually get the favor and the Talisman needed to unlock Shamen.

 

This Guide is showing the Cannon Method, I will post a Safe Spot Method Later, This Set up is used to get more kills Per hour in order to increase Chances of getting The Dragon War hammer.

 

The basic Stats you will need for Lizardman Shamen are:

75+ Range

20+ Defence (The armor Requires 20 Defence to wear/ Not Required During Safe Spot method.)

60+ Hp (Longer Trips, Can do with less but you can't let a Shamen Jump on you with lower then 50 Because they can Stack 25s)

 

 

 

The Basic Set up is going to be:

 

The Tier 5 Shayzien Gear IS REQUIRED when doing cannon method and Helpful when doing the Safe Spot Method as the Shamens can constantly poison you and hit 20s+ with the poison stacks. The armor completely negates the poison.

 

Head Slot - Shayzien Helm (Tier 5)

Body Slot - Shayzien Platebody (Tier 5)

Legs Slot - Shayzien Greaves (Tier 5)

Boots Slot - Shayzien Boots (Tier 5)

Gloves Slot - Shayzien Gloves (Tier 5)

Neck Slot - Necklace of Anguish > Fury > Glory

Cape Slot - Range Cape (T) > Avas > Range Cape

Ammo Slot - Any Blessing

Weapon Slot - Blow pipe > Armadyl Crossbow > Rune Crossbow

Ring Slot - Archers Ring (i) > Archers ring > Ring of Wealth

 

If you're Using Blow pipe the best ammo is going to be Addy Darts, but Mithril darts can be used.

 

Your Inventory for longest trip should be set up as this: 

 

4 x Stamina Potions. (Need to run around a lot)

6 x Prayer Potions. (Pray range Will be Up the whole time)

1 x Range Potion.

1 x Antidote ++.

7 x Sharks.

1 x Full cannon.

1200+ Cannon balls.

5-25 Bones to Peaches.

1 x Xerics Talismen W/ Charges (ill go over how to get this later.)

1 x Ring of Dueling. (To teleport to Clan Wars, Restock, Reheal/Prayer)

1 x Rune pouch W/ 25-100+ High Alchs.

 

The Reason you bring Alchs is because Shamen drop a lot of Rune items, Battle Staffs and mystic staffs that alch for 9-30k each.

 

The Potions can be changed based on how you feel, but that inventory is what i used and will always use because it works best for me in terms of leaving with profit and maximizing my kills. 

 

How to Get their When on Zeah After using Xerics Talisman Charge:

 

Once you Get to the Top part of the map Lizardman Shamen Will be in the Left Ditch, and Normal Lizardmen will be in the Right ditch.

In Order to get Xerics Talisman you are going to want to get 40% favor and camp out the Lizardman in the Right ditch, The drop rate is 1/60 and the Charges are the Scales they Drop.

 

The Combat Ring in the middle is where you can Get your Shayzien Armor, But you need 100% favor before doing this.

 

The Cannon Spot I use:

 

Always keep pray Range up!

 

The Green Squares are where you're going to be setting up your cannon, The Reason i set it up here is because it traps a shamen on the left side and slowly kills it with my cannon so all i have to do is lure the upper left one to me and kite only 2 at a time. 

 

The Green lines are the best spots to run around too because the Shamen Stand on 3 Squares and won't jump on you if you're near a wall. 

 

Jumping Mechanic: The lizardman shamen jump randomly while you are fighting them, If they land on you after a jump it will do 25 damage no matter what and they can auto attack right after which could lead to a 25 + 20 stack.

When they jump in the air you have about 2 seconds before they land on the last location you where before they jumped. 

Move 4 Squares or more away from your last location when they jumped to avoid the damage.

 

No jumping = More damage put out by cannon = more kills and less running around.

 

Spot 2 ( Same things to watch out for, just a different area.):

 

This Picture Shows the Little Purple Shamen DO NOT STAND NEXT TO THEM, they will walk up to you and within the next 3 seconds will Put their hands on their heads and Explode Dealing 5-15 damage per Explosion. The best thing to do it let it walk up to you then run to another spot away from them.

 

Final Notes:

- Always Use Shayzien Armor when using The Cannon Method

- Move when the Shamen Jump

- Don't Stand near the Purple Shamen

- Blowpipe is the best Weapon to use

- Rev is Garbage

- PRAY RANGE STAYS UP AT ALL TIMES.

- I Will post a Guide next week on how to Set up and use the Safe Spot Method
