Gotta say those hitsplats are just so unsatisfying that was the beginning of the end for runescape for me...Now correct me if I'm wrong, I thought with bridding it was a switching of gear to beat out overheads? Not hating cause im only accustomed to BH pking atm and am probably a sht brid  Either way nice kills

Youre thinking of NHing (No Honor), which is often tribrid and involves the use of overheads and switching them.  Hybridding is usually only melee and magic and no overhead prayers

But seriously, the combination of melee and ancients in a fight is very strong and would definitely require the other person to have it as well.  They switch between combat styles to A. Freeze and move out of melee range B. To counter if you are frozen, switch to mage so you can still do damage C. Combining mage with a melee spec can produce huge damage output and theres a bunch more reasons but I think you can get the general idea from this

yeah i was just thinking why mage over range but it makes sense if the other person only has melee they can't fight back
