As many of you are aware there have been alot of accounts being hacked and thats down to a certain 

website.

 

This website has the ability to track email addresses, IP addresses, previous passwords, birthdays and real name plus much more..

This has become more and more used and alot more people are hacking into others accounts.

 

They can access your passwords to websites such as twitter, paypal and any previous games youve played plus much much more.

How to avoid your details being leaked to this website?

 

• Change your passwords ( immediately after reading this) often.
• Secure your email with a Phone number
• Use a runescape Authenticator on your account
• Use an Authenticator on your e-mailaddress as well! It's pretty pointless to have it just setup on your Runescape account if they know your e-mailaddress and password they can simply turn off your Runescape Account Authenticator.
• Have a bank pin
• Use different passwords and details for different accounts and websites
• Dont go on other Teamspeaks with your real IP address ( for more info message @mitzz)
• Do not tell anybody else your email address or personal information

There are many other ways to secure your accounts if your worried for your accounts safety please message a rank

This is a very serious matter and recently we have seen a very liked member of vengeance hacked due to this very website.

 

 

 

okay guys. i think gmail is the best thing to use for your accounts. you can use the same authentication app that you use for runescape (which should be setup up!)

so you start here. login and click on your picture in the top right and click on my account. this should pop up. 

click on this and it should bring you to this

after that, click on this to start the setup the authentication 

you will want to use your phone because no one but yourself has access to it.

you put your phone number that you want to use then click next at the bottom right.

after that it will bring you to a screen and a little further down the page you should see this.

click on this to start the setup for the phone authentication (app)

you will scan this barcode on your phone and it should show your email and code on your phone.

it will now ask you for the code on your phone to link it to your gmail

once you put in the code then you are done! no one can access your email or runescape account without having those codes that change every minute and are on your personal phone! (you can also get the app in the windoes store

Don't worry about that, i know how to avoid it even if you see your email details in that website. Jagex posted something about this earlier and said if you see your email in there you can just change your email and that will be absolutely fine. Then put an authenticator on your account and they can't touch your account. But make sure you don't have same password in everything for example facebook,twitter etc.. Otherwise you will have to change everything or delete your account.
