It will still have the stun effect which will be as op for piles as it is now but you just wont be able to smite people as easy!

Basically there have been different possibilities, but I think the latest is this one: there will be a 1 tick delay between spear stuns, in which you can eat, drink, put pnecks/tank gear on.

 

With that change it will be harder to smite out people, you basically need a shit ton of ancient maces.

 

For clan fights the spear will still be super useful tho

There's still a time frame where they can't do anything, so they still useful

When you train on focussing on one kid during a war and use spears you can make sure to drop even the best tankers of the clans and then after all specs procceed on focussing on the normal way. It's one of the more powerfull weapons in the wild with a big unit
