Best ways to train defence on a range tank?

Was wondering if anyone has any good ideas for training defence !

 

Currently using dharoking nmz - looks to be about 65 - 70k xp/hr with 70 att and 70 str - will probably go up if I get 78 attack.

 

I also did longrange blowpipe with steel darts, which was about 40k range/def xp but using rapid is 110k range/xp which makes that one a waste of time.

 

I know you can chin/burst some aswell but I won't be able to afford that all the way to 99.

 

let me know here if you have any other ideas, or if you could tell me what you did to train defence. cheers.

Guthans is another way to do afk training xp isn't as good as dh of course though.

If you got the cash, could also do defence whilst chinning?

yeh i was wondering about max melee bonus with slayer tasks. good to know that dharoks is the best way in nmz though.

^pretty much that, but since you mentionned you didn't have the cash for it your current method is the best.
