75 or 99 Defence range tank

Cannot decide if i wanna stay 75 def or go for 99. 75 is nice because at 101 cb in bh/pvp worlds the build is really good. But i cant use guthans/sara god sword because i cant afford any melee/def xp. Is it worth going for 99? I imagine a 99 def range tank doesnt do well in 1v1s. Also i think if i went for 99 def id push 99 pray for just 2 extra combat lvls cb 109. Is it worth it? Thoughts?

EDIT: Also forgot to mention that i think having the option to use long range might help alot in deep wild pking along with 99 def making bossing a bit easier.

If you pvm more go for 99 def, if you don't really care about bossing/pvming get 75 def, since you benefit your clan with 99 def build becouse you can tank well with it, But my opinion on 99 def is that its kinda waste if using overheads anyways.

im thinking trying to get 99 def and 99 pray in the future. I plan on pvming a lot because this is my main. But i agree on it being a waste in pvp tho, i feel like in edge id get smashed because i gained all those levels. My damage wouldnt increase but my opponents damage to me will.

Well if you are writing about a "range tank" then 99 or bust. a 75 is just  a med.. get 99str in that case.

I went 99 defence, helps a lot with pvm.  If you go 99 defence, try and get rigour before you go 75-99 defence so you keep power with the higher combat levels.

I think I'll stop at 75 def for a little bit and have fun, but definitely the ultimate goal is to get 99.
